Rain Causes Big Rig to Overturn on 210

Overnight rain made for a slick morning commute, causing a FedEx truck to overturn on the 210.

A big rig crashed Wednesday on the eastbound 210 Freeway in Pasadena, blocking three lanes but resulting in no injuries, authorities said Wednesday morning.

The accident was reported about 4:30 a.m. at Sierra Madre Villa Avenue,
said California Highway Patrol Officer Francisco Villalobos.

The FedEx truck was hauling two trailers, and the second trailer overturned, Villalobos said. Both trailers were empty.

The cause of the crash was under investigation. Authorities closed the carpool lane, and the numbers one and two lanes while crews worked to clear the scene.
