Police Blotter: Burglary, Theft and Car Crashes
Local police activity for May 27 to June 2.
The following information was provided by the Glendora Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.
Monday, May 27
3:30 a.m. Police arrested Chase Joseph Joyce-Younger, 21, and Haley Justine Christiansen, 18, for receiving known property. One of the suspects allegedly hit an officer.
6 p.m. Glendora Police were able to coax a reportedly depressed man down from the railroad bridge at Route 66. Police diverted westbound traffic onto Compromise Line Road during the incident.
Tuesday, May 28
5:15 a.m. Andrew Richard Mangold, 31, was arrested at 1900 E. Auto Center Dr. and charged with a DUI.
2:11 p.m. Oscar Garcia, 27, was arrested at 1605 E. Michelle St. and charged with burglary.
Wednesday, May 29
4 a.m. Glendora Police caught John James, 53, apparently trying to steal a catalytic converter from a car at the Colley Ford dealership, 1945 E. Auto Centre Drive.
10:01 a.m. Francisco Gaspar, 19, was arrested at 726 E. Mountain View Ave. and charged with burglary.
1 p.m. Walgreens reported a theft at the store. The suspect fled in a silver Kia.
Thursday, May 30
7:47 p.m. Steven Anthony Quintana, 39, was arrested at Gladstone and Bender and charged with domestic battery.
Friday, May 31
1 a.m. Victoria Guzman, 18, of Whittier was booked into the county jail on suspicion of felony auto theft and felony vandalism after she stole and crashed a car she stole from a Glendora Hyundai and crashed it in Industry.
2:14 p.m. Nicholas David Claire, 24, was arrested at 1623 S. Banna Ave. and charged with battery.
Saturday, June 1
12:15 p.m. John Alexander Esquer, 48, was arrested at 440 W. Gladstone Ave. and charged with burglary and disorderly conduct.
8:45 p.m. Glendora Police found a marijuana pipe at Glendora High School, left behind by a group of teenagers who quickly left the scene when spotted by an adult passerby.
Sunday, June 2
5:55 p.m. Daniel Glasgow, 27, was arrested at Walmart, 1950 E. Auto Centre Dr. and charged with burglary.
7:03 p.m. An injury collision was reported outside Angelos Burgers , 213 W. Route 66.
