More than 500 DUI Arrests Made Through Memorial Day Weekend

1133 people in California were arrested for DUI during the holiday weekend.

529 people were arrested in Los Angeles County for driving under the influence between 12:01 a.m. on Friday and midnight on Sunday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

There were 35 DUI arrests in Orange County between 6:01 p.m. on Friday and Sunday morning at 6:00 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

1133 people in California were arrested for DUI during the same period, according to the California Highway Patrol, which reports 15 fatalities in the state.

The arrests in Los Angeles County were made during the "Avoid the 100 Los Angeles County DUI Campaign,'' during which officers representing 100 law enforcement agencies made arrests.

Impaired driving statistic data will be collected through midnight tonight, officials said. Some agencies have yet to report DUI arrests, according to the department.
