FriA cold Pacific storm out of the Gulf of Alaska brought Southern California rain and snow Thursday, and forecasters said a second weather system would do the same Friday and Saturday.
A second cold front, similar to the one that arrived Wednesday night, is expected to reach San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties late Friday morning or early in the afternoon, then spread southeast into Ventura and L.A. counties in the evening, lingering into Saturday morning, according to the NWS. The system's heaviest rain will fall in Los Angeles and Ventura counties.
The current storm and the one on its way are each expected to generally produce between a quarter-inch and a half-inch of rain in coastal and valley areas and between a half-inch and an inch in the mountains and foothills.
