L.A. County Fair Celebrates Glendora, Community Heroes

With a ceremony and a parade, Glendora took center stage during Glendora Day Wednesday at the L.A. County Fair in Pomona.

Local residents Jake Peterson and Chuck and Tricia Gomer were honored as Community Heroes for their volunteer contributions to the community.

The Glendora High School Marching Band and Pageantry, which earned a spot at the next Rose Parade after winning last year's County Fair Marching Band competition, opened the parade.

I don't recall that The Patch ever mentioned that on Glendora Day at the Fair if you wanted the discount as a resident you had to print out an online coupon to take with you to qualify for the discount. If that was never mentioned, why not?
