Kara's Korner: Kosher and More

Where else can you find quality kosher, Italian, Asian food and more?

There are few restaurants where you can get kosher food and an array of American, Asian and Italian favorites all in one place. In this week's Bites Nearby, we’re stopping by Kara’s Korner, a deli/diner with a menu packed with your traditional favorites, and your slightly exotic.

Kara’s Korner— Located in the Glendora Village on North Glendora Avenue, this family-owned restaurant is a popular place to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Word is, the pastrami sandwich is delicious. I tried the Kara’s Favorite Omelette, and the egg concoction was bursting with vegetables, cheese and sausages. They’re also known for their matzoh ball soup, homemade corned beef and cabbage, kreplach and potato latkes. Looking for something different (to put it lightly)? Try the Hot Tongue on egg bread. 101 West Foothill Blvd. Glendora, CA 91741. (626) 914-7447. Sunday to Thursday 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Price: $
