Glendora Police Awards Officers for Saving Lives, Service

On a day honoring the nation’s peace officers, the Glendora Police Department presented medals to eight officers who saved the lives of six people over the past year in an award ceremony May 15.

The department observed National Peace Officers’ Memorial Day by presenting medals to eight officers who saved the lives of six people using Automatic External Defibrillators.

Every Glendora Police car is equipped with defibrillators and officers are trained to use them to help save victims in medical need. 
Thirty-year veteran Lieutenant Brian Summers was also honored as the 2013 Police Officer of the Year.
