Glendora Employees to Run Special Olympics Torch Relay

The torch will be carried on Arrow Highway to Barranca Wednesday afternoon.

The “Flame of Hope” Special Olympics torch will make its way through Glendora when the San Dimas Sheriff’s Department hands off the torch to the Glendora Police Department and City employees Wednesday afternoon.  

The passing of the torch will occur at Bonnie Cove and Arrow Highway at 2:45 p.m. today, Wednesday. The relay through Glendora will continue on Arrow Highway to Barranca Avenue where the torch will be handed off to the Azusa Police Department.  

Those running in the relay include City Manager Chris Jeffers, Council Member Karen Davis, Police Chief Rob Castro and officers of the Glendora Police Department.
