County Road Closures Limit Access to Snow

Snow and icy road conditions forces the closure of several Los Angeles County roads this weekend, including Mount Baldy Road to Glendora Mountain Road.

With the weekend’s rain, snow and chilly temperatures, several county roads will be closed to traffic today, including Mount Baldy Road to Glendora Mountain Road.

Snow and icy road conditions forced the closure of roads within the Station Fire burn area Friday, but some roads were partially reopened.

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works announced the closure of the following roads:

  • Mount Wilson Road from Angeles Crest Highway
  •  Mount Baldy Road to Glendora Mountain Road
  • Table Mountain Road from Angeles Crest Highway
  • Angeles Forest Highway from Aliso Canyon Road to Angeles Crest Highway
  • Big Tujunga Canyon Road from Big Tujunga Dam to Angeles Forest Highway
  • Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road.

For snow enthusiasts, Public Works officials said they aim to open Big Tujunga Canyon Road from Big Tujunga Dam to Angeles Forest Highway and Angeles Forest Highway from Big Tujunga Canyon Road to Angeles Crest Highway.

  • Johnson Road from 110th Street West to Elizabeth Lake Road
  • San Francisquito Canyon Road from Elizabeth Lake Road to Pelton
  • Elizabeth Lake Road from Bouquet Canyon Road to Lake Hughes Road
  • Spunky Canyon from Bouquet Canyon Road to Elizabeth Lake to Green Valley
  • Largo Vista from Fort Tejon Road to Big Pines Highway
