Charter Oak Softball Advance in Division 2

The Chargers' win against West Covina moves them along in the CIF playoffs.

The Charter Oak Softball team enjoyed a strong showing late in the season, winning its CIF-Southern Section Division 2 first-round playoff game against West Covina Thursday.  

Although the Chargers trailed 4-2 at one point in the game, the team surged ahead in the third inning to tie the game, according to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.  

A three-run home run sealed the win for the Chargers as they took a 9-4 lead. The second place Sierra League Chargers advance in a playoff game Tuesday.
