Azusa Gold Line Parking Structure Gets Green Light

The Azusa City Council approved a parking structure in its downtown in preparation for the Metro Gold Line extension to the Azusa /Glendora border.

The council voted Monday to proceed with the previously contested plan for the three-story parking structure north of 213 E. Foothill Blvd., according to a story in the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.

The parking facility will have 550 parking spaces, including rooftop parking.

A previously proposed structure would have required a redesign of the city’s Veterans Freedom Park. That plan was contested by the council.
