4-Year-Old Girl Killed in Azusa Crash

The multi-vehicle crash involving a Foothill Transit bus left a four-year-old girl dead and two other children seriously injured.

A four-vehicle crash involving two cars, a truck and a Foothill Tranist passenger bus on Citrus Avenue and Gladstone Street in Azusa Monday night claimed the life of a four-year-old girl.

Azusa Police responded to the scene at 8:40 p.m. when they found three young children being tended to by family and bystanders, according to Sgt. John Madaloni in a press release.

The girl was traveling in a white Lexus sedan and was unresponsive and not breathing when she was transported to Los Angeles County USC Medical Center by helicopter. Azusa Police reported that despite emergency surgery, the girl later succumbed to her injuries.

Two other children were treated for serious injuries, but are currently listed in stable condition, Madalomi said. Two other adults were treated at the scene of the crash with non-life threatening injuries and transported to the hospital.

The cause of the collision is under investigation, according to Azusa Police.
