5 Things: Evening Trail Hike, 8-Week Nursing Assistant Program

1. Heading out on the 210 or 57 freeways this morning? Check out Glendora Patch’s live traffic map before you head out on your morning commute.

2.  Glendora Trails volunteers will lead a free evening trail hike this evening at 7:45 p.m. in Little Dalton Canyon. The hike is a 1.6 mile flat hike. It is open to everyone, although children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Participants should bring a daypack with 3 quarts of water, snacks and a flashlight. Park on the east and north sides of Glendora Mountain Road about 0.9 miles north of Big Dalton Canyon Road. 3. Check out the Glendora Public Library’s Children’s Summer Reading Club’s special programs. Today’s event in the Bidwell Forum is the Buster Balloon Show. Show times are 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

5. Registration for Citrus College’s Nurses Assistant Program begins Tuesday, July 23 for continuing Citrus College students and Wednesday, July 31 for new and returning students. The eight-week course begins Aug. 27.
