Don Davis Elected Governing Board President
The Governing Board held its annual organizational meeting on December 12, 2013 where a new president and vice president (clerk) were elected from its members. Additionally, the board authorizes signatures, develops a schedule of regular meetings for the year etc.
Don Davis, who was successfully re-elected along with outgoing president, Jane Bock, was selected as the new Governing Board President. Veteran board member Bob Cruz was elected as the Vice President.
President Davis was first elected to the COUSD Governing Board in the November 2009 election. He lives in Glendora with his wife, Sharon, and their two daughters. He works at Azusa Pacific University as the Chief Information Officer and chair of the university Space Planning Committee. Mr. Davis graduated from Azusa Pacific with a B.S. degree in Information Management Systems and an M.A. in Business Administration. He is currently working on his Doctorate at Pepperdine University focusing on Educational Technology. Mr. Davis has served on the Washington Elementary school site council for four years, serving as chair for two of those years; on the district's Educational Technology Committee; and the Technology Steering Committee.
