Cedargrove Save the Eagle Concert

On Thursday evening, November 7 Cedargrove held it's first annual Save the Eagle/Veteran's Day concert. Students from various classrooms on campus performed patriotic songs for the Charter Oak community in an effort to raise money to repair the eagle mural on the north side of the campus. Assistant Principal Lori Drake, along with many PTA and classroom volunteers put on a fabulous show honoring the many veterans in our community. The Local Charter Oak VFW was on hand to perform a flag folding ceremony and share with all the meaning of the each of the 13 folds of our American flag. The concert ended with a tribute in song to each of the branches of the American armed forces. Many thanks to Jamba Juice, Cedargrove ASB and the Cedargrove community who donated $771 to our mural refurbishing project. It was a great night to be a Cedargrove Charger!
