But where do you start? Here’s your guide to local Black Friday deals.

– Best Buy will be counting on the consumers’ fascination with new electronics, as the store’s Black Friday inventory will include a host of the latest gadgets. This year’s Black Friday deals at Best Buy launch at 12 a.m. Friday, but expect lines to form early.

  • Toshiba Smart Blu-Ray Disc Player - $39.99
  • DVDs for 99 cents each

– To get a head start on the competition this year, Walmart decided to make its Black Friday ad available a week in advance. And instead of launching its sale at midnight as most stores are, this year’s Black Friday deals at Walmart will launch at 10 p.m. (12 a.m. for electronics).

Expect great deals on toys, clothes, and home appliances, decorations and more.

– Kohl’s is offering a range of Black Friday Deals from kitchen appliances to clothes and accessories. But why wait for Black Friday? This Friday and Saturday –  the weekend before Black Friday – the store is putting discounts on nearly its entire stock with savings of up to 60 percent off.

This year’s standout items:

  • Rachel Ray 3-piece stoneware set - $29.99
  • Pandigital Planet 7-inch Android Multimedia Tablet - $139.99
  • Polaroid 7-inch Touch Screen Android Tablet with a free accessory kit - $99.99
  • 50 percent to 60 percent off all handbag-like items and accessories
  • 60 percent off all women's outerwear and sportswear
  • 50 percent off Chaps Sportswear Collection for men.

– Like Kohl’s, Home Depot is starting its Black Friday deals early. Customers can now shop for huge savings on stoves, refrigerators, microwaves and dishwashers. Note, the early Black Friday deals are only available on the store’s Web site.

-  Old Navy is putting its stock of family clothing on sale, from $10 for all kids jeans to $29 for wool adult pea coats.

This year’s standout items:

  • 50 percent off all family outerwear
  • $15 sweaters
  • $5 women’s V-neck sweaters
  • $5 leggings
