Reported Injury Crash on 210 Freeway

Car swerved into guardrail, big rig reportedly also involved.

A crash involving a big rig tied up traffic for nearly an hour on the eastbound Interstate 210 freeway on ramp at Grand Avenue, Sunday.

A child reportedly received minor injuries, but the extent of the injuries was unclear.

The accident was reported at 12:46 p.m., according to an officer at the California Highway Patrol. The black four-door car, for reasons still unclear, swerved and slammed into a section of guardrail near the on ramp. A big rig also, reportedly hit the car after it crashed first, according to the CHP.

By 1 p.m., Glendora PD arrived and closed off the on ramp while CHP and Los Angeles County fire fighters worked on the crash. By 1:41 p.m., the CHP reported the roadway clear. It was not immediately known what caused the car to swerve and crash.
