Congresswomen Will Host Deferred Action Forum In El Monte

The event will take place in the auditorium at Lambert Park, located at 11431 McGirk St., in the neighboring city of El Monte, starting at 6 p.m.

"This Friday I am teaming up with my colleague Rep. Grace Napolitano, the City of El Monte, CHIRLA and other community advocates to host a community forum on the new deferred action program for childhood arrivals (DACA)," said Chu on her Facebook page

According to the announcement, participants will have the opportunity to find out what they need to qualify for the DACA program and how to access necessary materials to complete the application, to get specific information about their individual cases and even to speak to an immigration expert.

Chu and Napolitano are running to represent the 27th and 32nd Congressional districts, respectively, both of which include Glendora.
