SIx Heavy air tankers, eight helicopters and 25 hand crews. Where were they when this started? This fire started out as 4 acres, then 40 acres an hour later, now 4,000 acres. Why not go all out in the beginning to prevent it from spreading. And before anyone tells me "they know what they are doing", look for yourself. If they did, this would not have gotten so big so fast. How much do they have to spend before they call "All In"?

Sounds like you should be the Fire Marshall spence you seem to know how to deal with it.

Maybe I could be the Fire Marshall since you seem to be the guy that makes the appointments :). If the same amount of people they are using now was applied during the first 2 hours, it could have been contained already but they go by increments. Oops looks like it got big, lets send more, oops again, it still got bigger, lets send in more again and same goes all day. Fire Marshall Notteling has a nice ring to it.
