Opera Talks To Take Audience 'Behind the Scenes'

Presentation set for this Saturday.

Opera Talks return to the Glendora Public Library this Saturday and will present a man who has spent nearly 30 years in Opera and other venues.

Props expert Kirk Graves will discuss his career in the Opera, which involved the technical work conducted backstage. Graves will have on hand sample props, will display slides of his handiwork and even give demontsrations.

Graves has worked in over 250 shows during his 27-year career, working as a properties coordinator for the LA Opera and has also worked for the Pasadena Playhouse, Ahmanson Theater, The Hollywood Bowl, Shakespeare Center LA and the Tiffany Theater, to name a few.

Graves has also acted in a few television shows, including "E.R," "The West Wing" and "Modern Family."

The next event is Saturday, May 4 at 2 p.m. in the Bidwell forum of the Glendora Public Library, 140 South Glendora Avenue.

Opera Talks are presented by the Glendora Public Library, the Friends Foundation and the Library Community Volunteers, in conjunction with the LA Opera.
