NBC’s American Dream Builders and host Nate Berkus will come to Glendora this Sunday, April 20 at 8 p.m. Glendora builder Bohler Builders Group teamed up with the high-end design competition show for its first season, which knocked on the doors of two Glendora families of Pennsylvania Avenue.
This week the contestants renovate two beautiful craftsman-style homes with families that require an office workspace for their at-home businesses.
Team Blue, led this week by Nina Magon, puts Darren Moore’s fitness background to use by creating an eco-friendly indoor gym for an owner who is a personal trainer.
On Team Red, site manager Erinn Valencich cooks up a classy kitchen for a professional chef.
After the judges and the neighborhood council tour the homes, one designer is sent home.
Nate Berkus hosts while Eddie George and Monica Pedersen serve as judges.
Glendora-based design/build firm, Bohler Builders Group, works behind the cameras to renovate homes across the southland every week for the high-end design show.
“We are honored to be a part of a show that can changes people’s lives and to showcase our own town of Glendora on national TV,” said David Bohler, owner of Bohler Builders Group, Inc. “I think the contestants did a great job representing the Craftsman style of home this week.”
Bohler is the former general contractor behind ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, which ran for 9 seasons before ending in 2012.
Showcasing the talents of the most accomplished designers and home builders in the country, American Dream Builders pits 12 worthy contestants against one another in a high-stakes competition designed to push everyone’s creative reach. The show celebrates creativity and style while revealing magazine-worthy home transformations.
