GHS Class Takes On Harlem Shake Dance Craze

A class-time Harlem Shake dance break at Glendora High School makes its way onto You Tube

A group of Glendora students and a Glendora High School teacher have joined countless others in getting down to the Harlem Shake, the online dancing craze sweeping the globe.

According to the You Tube description of the video that was uploaded to the site Monday, the video features Glendora High School teacher Doug Grandquist and his third period class showcasing their best bizarre dance moves to an electronic beat.

The Harlem Shake, not to be confused with the hip-hop dance move with the same name, began when a group of bored Australian teens decided to film themselves getting down to a segment of Baauer's "Harlem Shake.” In less than a month, the video has been copied and spoofed all over the world.

Azusa Pacific University students also got in on the act with their own musical interpretations of the Harlem Shake.

Any other Glendora residents/businesses making a Harlem Shake video? Upload one to YouTube and Glendora Patch will feature it on the front page.
