L.A. Noir

Award-winning mystery novelist, journalist and editor of the anthology Los Angeles Noir Denise Hamilton will moderate a panel discussion with Los Angeles Noir contributing authors on Saturday, July 16 at the Monrovia Public Library. Joining Ms. Hamilton are: Naomi Hirahara, writer and creator of the Mas Arai mystery series, Gary Phillips, writer and community activist and Hector Tobar, writer and Los Angeles Times columnist.

They tell tales of L.A. Noir both contemporary and historical, and discuss the writing life in the big multicultural megalopolis that is L.A. Book sales and signing after the program. This program is supported by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act.
