Young, Old Alike Participate in Bryan Clay 5k Run

Men, women and children traverse the streets of Glendora as a way to bring the community together and promote a healthy lifestyle in the first annual event.

A chilly, overcast morning didn't dampen the spirits of over 300 participants of the Bryan Clay Foundation's first annual Fit4Fall 5k Run in Glendora, Nov. 19.

Billed as Southern California's primere 5K run, the event was started by reigning Olympic Gold Medal Decathalon Winner Bryan Clay and his non-profit foundation.

The top male winner was Matthew Sustayta, a track runner for the University of LaVerne, at 16:55.

The top female winner was 15-year-old, Cori Harral, of Glendora High School. "It's pretty exciting," Harral said of being the top female performer in the inaugural event with a time of 19:29. She definitely plans on competing next year.

Proceeds will benefit the Bryan Clay Foundation to support its health and wellness programs.
