'Weak' Storm Headed to Southland

The National Weather Service predicts a series of light showers this weekend.

A couple of relatively weak storm systems are headed for the Southland, where showers are expected between Friday night and Monday afternoon, National = Weather Service forecasters said today.

The first of the two systems will appear in San Luis Obispo County Friday and spread across Ventura and Los Angeles counties Friday night, bringing light to moderate rainfall, according to an NWS advisory.

Then, a quick-moving cold front will slide into the region Sunday, dropping even less rain before clearing out Monday afternoon, the advisory said.
