The persistent creature wanted to stick around, but finally left.

Police had their hands full Friday afternoon when a large bear went wandering around a Glendora residence.

Glad they didn't kill it like they did one a few years ago. Hopefully, they learned from the public uproar last time.

Glendora residents know what to do in case of a bear scare. Leave it alone and it will go home.

She was in my front yard on Hicrest Road eating avocados from about 11:30pm to 1:30am! :)

Guacamole? Truly a California bear! Bring on the nachos next time!

That Bear has frequented that very spot for his pick of ripe avocados from the acre of trees to choose from. He meanders around the grove without bothering anyone. I must say he has gotten larger over the years of fresh avocado dinners. He's not a menace and goes the other way when people are present. Caution and common sense is all we need to coexist with our wonderful wild neighbors. What a treat it is to live so close to nature. Stay safe Yogi and bring Boo-boo next time!.
