VIDEO: Major Injuries Reported In Three-Car Collision

Investigators have the intersection at Lone Hill and Auto Centre closed, most likely for a few hours. Three people were transported by air to an area hospital, one by ambulance.

Investigators are still busy trying to piece together the events that led to a massive injury collision on Lone Hill and Auto Centre Wednesday morning.

The intersection was closed for over five hours. Turns out it was an unlicensed Azusa teen in a stolen car that blew the stoplight "at a high rate of speed" causing the crash.

Information that the victims were flown to Arcadia Methodist is false, so I have to wonder where it came from. They were both initially supposed to be sent to County USC, but due to fog in the LA basin both LACoFD helicopters diverted to Huntington Memorial. The woman passenger in "very critical" condition was transported by herself, and the man who caused the accident was transported with the driver of the tan car in the second airsquad about 15 mins later.

The information regarding Arcadia Methodist most likely came from a scanner report as that was the first one suggested to Air Ops when they were informed that USC was fogged in. The woman passenger in "very critical" condition was the passenger in the stolen car. After speaking to one of the first responders about her condition yesterday, I can guarantee you that she didn't transport herself.

I meant she was transported by herself in the first helicopter, and my grammar is sound. If had intended to state that she drove herself to the hospital I would've written "she self-transported", or "she transported herself". As she was the sole patient occupant of the first helicopter, she "was transported by herself". Anyway, LACoFD advised on the air they intended to go to County USC, and later advised they were diverting to Huntington Memorial. At no time did I hear Arcadia Methodist over the air, so I think someone just got confused.
