Trio of Thieves Go on Crime Spree

Stores burglarized in Glendora, Covina and Azusa, police said.

In and out in about a minute.

That is all it took for two suspects to walk into two Glendora stores and steal numerous items. But the accused thieves were not done. The suspects, and possibly a driver, hit at least two other stores, one in Azusa and one in Covina, police said.

The two suspects, only described by police as male and female Hispanics in their 20s, ran into the Old Navy, 1321 East Gladstone Street, a little after 7 p.m. Thursday, grabbed clothing items and left the store, said Lieutenant Joe Ward of Glendora Police.

The suspects then drove to CVS, 435 East Arrow Highway, and reportedly walked in, took gift sets and left.

The suspects then stole from a CVS in Azusa, 915 East Arrow Highway.

A male suspect entered the Azusa store, placed unknown items into a carry basket, approached the cash register and then bolted for the door, making no attempt to pay, said Sergeant John Madaloni of Azusa Police. Only two suspects were seen in this theft, with possibly a female behind the wheel.

Covina authorities could not immediately provide information on the theft in their city.

The car the trio were in was described as a silver, 4-door, 2012 Nissan Versa and is an embezzled vehicle out of Nevada.
