T. Phillips To Honor Fire Fighters Who Battled Blaze Above Glendora

Members of the community and T. Phillips Alehouse are planning to say a big "thank you" to all the fire fighters who spent days upon days fighting the Colby Fire in the foothills above Glendora and Azusa.

Jennifer Van Der Hoorn, T. Phillips Alehouse manager, and Daniel Boyer, from Southland Properties, are organizing the event scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m. at T. Phillips.

"It's going to be an invite to the community as well as the local fire fighters down to T. Phillips. The community's going to come down and buy a drink for them. We're going to make sure the fire fighters are taken care of that night," Boyer said.

Boyer will be helping to spread the word by visiting county fire stations in Glendora to let fire fighters know of the event and hopes that word of mouth will get more fire fighters to join.

"I have about six or seven guys that I know that were up here working on the fire, so I sent them the invite last week and told them to just start spreading the word. Hopefully word travels," Boyer said.
