Sunny Skies to Welcome Glendora Christmas Parade

The annual Hometown Christmas Parade to wind through Glendora Saturday.

No wind or rain to damper this year’s Glendora Hometown Christmas Parade. The National Weather Service predicts sunny skies and highs up to 70-degrees Saturday.

The parade starts at 9 a.m. tomorrow in the downtown district on Glendora Avenue to Foothill Boulevard, proceeding west on Foothill to Grand Avenue, then north on Grand to Bennett.

Glendora Police advises that Foothill will be closed between Glendora Avenue and Grand Avenue from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The free event will feature the Glendora High School Marching Band, community organizations and hometown heroes.

The annual parade has been a holiday tradition in Glendora for nearly 60 years. Over the years, the parade has become a collaborative effort between public officials and community groups such as the Kiwanis, the Lions Club and the Rotary Club.

The parade draws about 7,000 people to line Glendora streets.
