Sept. 3, 1943: Glendora Hosts War Loan Drive

The city hosts its 3rd annual war loan drive to raise $220,000.

As American soldiers continued to fight during World War II, Glendorans were called upon to raise funds for the war effort in the third annual war loan drive, reported the Sept. 3, 1943 edition of the Glendora Gleaner. The city aimed to raise $220,000, a quota posed by the Treasury War Finance  Committee.
