Man accused of burglarizing Glendora vehicles.

A Covina man was arrested early Monday after an astute resident heard suspicious noises outside their residence and called police.

Arrested was Joshua Simpson, 26, from Covina, on suspicion of receiving known stolen property. Simpson has since been released and issued a citation.

The resident in the 300 block of West Mountainview Avenue was alerted by the noise around 3 a.m. Police arrived and established a containment and eventually located Simpson.

A search of his belongings yielded a bag containing reported stolen credit cards and wallets taken from vehicles in the area, according to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.

The suspect was staying in a Glendora motel with his girlfriend. Police checked the motel, but did not find any other stolen items and his girlfriend was determined to not be connected to the burglaries, said Lieutenant Jamie Caldwell.
