Police Search For Alleged Would-Be Burglar

One man ran off for unknown reasons after approaching the front door.

Police searched, but ultimately did not locate a possible would-be burglar Friday afternoon.

The man ran off after approaching the residence in the 900 block of East Carroll Avenue. He knocked on the front door and then fled on foot, possibly scared off by something, or someone, and ran through a resident's yard. Aided with a helicopter, police searched for, but could not locate the man.

Authorities received a call at 2:29 p.m. about a possible burglary in progress. The caller noted a truck was backed into the driveway and that a man had knocked on the front door. He ran off out of sight, said Lieutenant James DeMond of Glendora Police.

The truck reportedly left as well. A description of the truck was not immediately available, DeMond said.

There was no forced entry, or any entry made and his intentions are not known.

The suspect was described as a male Hispanic, in his 20s. He had a shaved head and wore dark clothing.
