Police Investigating Possible Police Impersonators

Alleged victim claims to have been contacted by man and woman dressed as officers.

Glendora Police are looking into a pedestrian's claims that a man and woman dressed like peace officers, drove around in a replica police car and possibly detained the victim for a period of time.

The pedestrian was in the area of Sierra Madre and Lorraine avenues when the suspects made contact around 12:41 a.m. The suspects were described as a man and woman in police-like uniforms. The vehicle being driven was reported as black in color, resembled a modern police car, was equipped with police lights, but had no insignias or lettering on it, said Sergeant Mike Randazzo of Glendora Police.

It was not immediately known how long the victim had been detained.

The male suspect was described as being in his early 30s with short hair. The woman was described as Hispanic, in her late 40s with a ponytail.
