Marching Tartans, local dignitaries and community heroes take the spotlight at the L.A. County Fair Wednesday.

The Glendora High School Marching Tartans led the way for Wednesday's parade at the LA County Fair, kicking off the fair's spotlight on Glendora.

Wednesday was Glendora Day, and Glendora students, local officials and community heroes were the center of attention during the day's festivities.

earned the Youth Community Heroe award for their academic excellence and volunteer work, especially with their efforts with American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

Rev. Luff Johnson of the Loraine Ave. Baptist Church was also honored for his community service with various organizations, including Glendora Church Homes, Library Board, Rotary Club and Glendora Welfare Association.
