On This Day in Glendora: June 21, 1920

Amended ordinance on area on Foothill Boulevard designated for public park.

An ordinance had been amended to acquire a section of Foothill Boulevard near Vista Bonita for a public park on June 21, 1920, according to the Glendora Gleaner. With this change, the city would come into possession of all 8 lots on Foothill Boulevard and 16 lots on Michigan Avenue.

The area was considered a prime spot for a park, with space appropriate for a playground and parking lot for automobiles.
