On Tuesday, Oct. 30, the Glendora Ridge Runners, a local running club, hosted two-time Olympic medalist, Brian Clay at their evening track workout.
Clay, a Glendora resident, signed copies of his book, "Redemption: A Rebellious Spirit, a Praying Mother, and the Unlikely Path to Olympic Gold." He also posed for photo's, and spoke about the upcoming Fit4Fall 5k .
The Fit4Fall 5k will be held in Glendora on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 9 a.m. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Brian Clay Foundation which helps promote health and wellness in Glendora and other local elementary schools.
Participating schools will compete to see who has the highest amount of participation and will receive an award deeming them the "fittest school."
In addition to the Brian Clay Foundation this year's race has partnered with the Shepherd's Pantry to collect food and clothing for those in need.
All registered participants who bring a minimun of three canned goods or one bag of clothing will receive $5 cash back from their $25 registration fee.
