July 27, 1923: Council Discusses Issues of ‘More or Less Importance.’

On this day in Glendora in 1923, the city council covered Water Department issues and addressed city bills.

It was an uneventful night for the Glendora City Council, or at least according to the Glendora Gleaner in the July 27, 1923 edition of the newspaper.

A Mr. Mason was instructed to install a water meter at his bar on North Michigan Avenue. The city made public all of its bills after being audited by the city’s auditing committee.

Addressing the routine nature of the night’s agenda, the paper called the items “Issues of More or Less Importance.”
