July 26, 1923: An Appeal to Voters

The Glendora Gleaner reports on this day 88 years ago that $50,0000 of public works improvements are dependent on voter-approved bonds.

On July 26, 1923, the Board of Trustees asked Glendora residents to vote on $50,000 of bonds to grade and pave streets, and construction of a culvert along Foothill Boulevard across Little Dalton Wash.

According to the Glendora Gleaner, the improvements come at the petitioning of residents, however the government lacked sufficient funds to cover the improvements.
