July 25, 1924: Glendora Avenue to be Paved

The Glendora Gleaner reported $20,000 in road improvements on this day 87 years ago.

In the July 25, 1924 edition of the Glendora Gleaner, the Glendora City Council awarded a contract of $20,000 for the hard surfacing of Glendora Avenue.

A bridge over Big Dalton Wash was also planned, allowing residents in the Charter Oak area easier access to merchants in Glendora, reported the paper.
