While I may be a few weeks late with this, I finally tracked down some Hostess products at a Glendora Vons store (Alas, the store was out of Twinkies).
Bankruptcy and other financial turmoil caused Hostess and all of its operations (including a Hostess outlet store in Glendora) to close in November of last year. While the shutdown of Hostess sparked a frenzy of Twinkies, Cupcakes and Ding Dong shopping, the company was purchased by Metropoulos & Co. and Apollo Global Management.
Hostess products returned to store shelves last month in what was hyped, "the sweetest comeback."
But the comeback was hardly sweet for the 18,500 Hostess employees who were not rehired despite Hostess' comeback.
