Goddard Student Reels in 177-Pound Tuna
Trevor Sheets, 13, turned heads with his massive catch while on a fishing trip to Mexico.
A 13-year-old Goddard Middle School student reeled in quite a big catch when he joined his grandfather, master reel builder Cal Sheets, on a 12-day fishing trip from San Diego to Mexico. Trevor Sheets caught not one, but two 100-pound tuna during his winter break. His second catch was a 177-pound tuna that outweighed the seventh grader by nearly 90 pounds.
Sheets, who also caught five yellowfin and four wahoo on the trip, enjoys playing flag football, baseball and basketball at Goddard.
