Glendora High School Wins Kids Cupcake Camp Challenge

A team from Glendora High School can raise more than $2000 for their school by selling their Pina Colada cupcakes at the Cake Mamas bakery.

 There were s’mores, candy cane and even Fruity Pebbles cupcakes at the Cake Mamas’ first Kids Cupcake Camp Sunday, but in the end, it was a batch of Pina Colada cupcakes that won over a panel of judges.

The team of cupcake bakers from Glendora High School won the opportunity over 12 student teams to sell their specialty cupcake at the , who will donate the cupcake’s month’s sales to the school.

According to the average number of cupcakes sold at the Cake Mamas’ store, Owner Janelle Copeland said the winning school can earn over $2,000 for the school.

Co-owner Fabiola Gomez said about 6,000 cupcakes were on display, with 30 bakers setting up delicious tables.

The fundraiser also collected piles of clothes for Shepherd’s Pantry, the local food bank.
