Glendora Brothers to Debut New Children's Book

Brothers Scott and Travis Catlett are hoping to fund their first literary project together by raising $1,000 on Kickstarter.com

Remember those days as a child when your best friend was a favorite toy? Two brothers from Glendora bring that memory to life in a new children’s book.

Writer Scott Catlett and illustrator Travis Catlett tell the story of the bond between a young girl and her teddy bear in “And Teddy Too!,” their first self-published children’s book together.

Susie doesn’t go anywhere without her beloved Teddy, and the book follows Susie and her mother during a fun-filled day together, with, of course, Teddy tagging along.

For Susie, Teddy is her true best friend and confidant. While adults might see him as an inanimate toy, in Susie’s eyes, he’s very much alive.

The Catlett brothers are using Kickstarter, the online fundraising site to help fund their first children’s literary project together. Their goal is to raise $1,000 by Nov. 9.

While “And Teddy Too!” is still in the production process, the duo is gathering funds through the crowd-sourcing site to self-publish their book.

Those who donate through Kickstarter will receive prizes, from your name in a special Kickstarter edition of the book, to a 16X20 acrylic painting of a scene in the book.
