Frugal Family: July Fourth Savings and Fun

Save money by enjoying the July Fourth holiday weekend with local activities and sales.

1)   Grab a pancake breakfast for $6 and secure your spot for the Glendora Village Independence Day parade on July 4 on North Glendora Avenue. The pancake breakfast starts at 6:30 a.m. and the parade starts at 9 a.m.

2)   While there are no fireworks shows in Glendora, Bonita High School, 3102 D St. in La Verne will host a fireworks spectacular in the school stadium. Tickets are $6 for adults and $5 for children. Pre-sale tickets are available at the La Verne Chamber of Commerce and City Hall. Gates open at 6 p.m. The fireworks will begin at 9 p.m.

3)   Grocery stores are abound with sales to make your July Fourth get-together a blast.  Get Ranchers Reserve New York Strip Steak for $4.47 lb at (Club price). At Ralphs, get packs of soda for four for $11 (Club card).  Clip special weekly coupons for here.
