Aug. 25, 1944: Glendora Bears Its Share of WWII Losses

The Glendora Press tallies up WWII casualties.

Glendora’s losses during WWII were great, totaling seven casualties, four missing soldiers and four prisoners of war, according to the Aug. 25, 1944 edition of the Glendora Press.

The names of the dead, missing and prisoners of war were listed in the article.

The newspaper wrote: “[Glendora’s] citizens are proud to be members of a community which has given so much, and which will continue to give bravely and gladly.”
