What is a Pet Sitter?

Trying to get away but worry about your four-legged babies? Instead of boarding them at the kennel or burdening a friend with pooper scooper or litter box detail, consider a professional pet sitter. Pet sitters do much more than provide a pet with food and water while their guardian is away from home, according to The Humane Society of the United States. A good pet sitter also spends quality time with the animal, gives him exercise and lets him know there is a friendly face coming by soon to give love and provide some fun! What's more, pet sitters typically offer additional services, such as taking in mail and newspapers and watering plants. House sitting is also inherently a benefit to a pet sitter as your home continues to have activity and a lived in look.
