Today in Glendora: Free Workshop on Public School Funding

1. Glendora High School’s girls volleyball team will play against Los Osos High School to raise money to fight cancer starting 3:15 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 15 at Glendora High School. Tickets will be three for $1 and all proceeds will go to the City of Hope/Susan G. Komen Foundation. Click here for more details.

2.  Does your child need help with math? Elementary school students can drop in to the Glendora Public Library for free math tutoring Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 5 p.m.

3. The Glendora Public Library is hosting a free Story Time for 2- to 3-year-olds from 10:30 to 11 a.m.

4. The Planning Commission meeting normally held at the City Hall Council Chambers Tuesdays at 7 p.m. has been canceled. The next scheduled Planning Commission meeting is Nov. 5.

5. The California School Board Association is hosting a workshop at Royal Oak Middle School Tuesday to answer questions on Local Control Funding Formula and its impact on local schools. Read more here.
