This Week in Glendora: City Remembers 9/11

Local events for your upcoming week.

1. Think your child can belt out tunes like “Tomorrow” or “It’s The Hard Knock Life”? The City of Glendora’s Children’s Theater is hosting auditions for its upcoming production of Annie Tuesday, Sept. 10 and Thursday, Sept 12 at the American Legion Hall. Click here for more details.  

2. The Glendora Ministerial Association will host the annual 9/11 Service of Remembrance 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11 in front of City Hall, 116 E. Foothill Blvd. Flags will be flown at half-staff in observance of Patriot Day-National Day of Service and Remembrance. The Ministerial Association, the Glendora Police Department Honor Guard, St. Dorothy Children's Choir, LA County Fire Fighters, GHS Pipers and local Boy Scouts will be part of the program.

3. The Avenue of Glendora Village hosts its annual “Taste Of Glendora In The Village” on Thursday, Sept. 12, from 6-9 p.m. Guests can stroll from one restaurant to the next, to enjoy appetizers, salads/soups, entrées and desserts along with various beverages provided by about 20 restaurants. Tickets are $30 per person and can be purchased at Glendora Florist, Glendora Interiors, knot too shabby, Martha’s Candy and Village Goldsmith and online at www.TasteOfGlendora.com.
