The clothing store will host an open house June 1.
Men's and women's outfitter Andrews, Inc. will celebrate 40 years in the downtown Village in an open house June 1. The haberdashery has been a fixture in the Village since 1972, when the space, once a beauty salon, opened its doors. Owners Gary and Connie Andrews will host the open house Friday, June 1, 5 to 8 p.m. at the store located at 111 N. Glendora Ave. “It wasn’t always easy back then, but here we are today, proud of what we have achieved and thankful to all our loyal customers for making us a success,” Gary Andrews said in a press statement. The Glendora Chamber of Commerce hosted their 2012 Cuisine of the Foothills Monday, May 14 at the Glendora Country Club. Hosting 20 local restaurants and caterers attendees had the opportunity to sample from a diverse menu, including samples from Chelsea Restaurant, The Cake Mamas, Spaghetti Eddies, The Golden Spur, Luca Bella Fine Foods, and The Village Eatery. Proceeds from the event went to The Glendora Chamber of Commerce.

Where would Glendora residents take their mom for Mother's Day? This time, poll-takers chose a familiar place. Already voted the best breakfast place in town, the Village Eatery is also a great place to treat mom on her special day, according to last week’s poll. The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County today recorded the largest daily increase since Feb. 29, rising 1.8 cents to $4.214. The average price has increased for four consecutive days after falling for 35 consecutive days and is 2.3 cents higher than a week ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. However, the average price is 11 cents less than one month ago and 7 cents lower than one year ago. The Orange County average price also recorded its largest daily increase since Feb. 29, increasing 1.9 cents to $4.192. Your question is for the "best" clothing store in Glendora. So I'm just going to assume you forgot men also wear clothes. It's the truth. I've seen them. Therefore, for the traditional styles that have stood the test of time, let's not forget Andrews. The others are "chic" hobby stores and will eventually run their course in time.   more ›
